Sheriff William D. "Billy" Sollie

On behalf of the men and women of the Lauderdale County Sheriff/Detention Office, I want to express our sincere desire to serve our residents, and the visitors, of Lauderdale County. The year 2018 is going to be a great year for our department as we make significant advancements in the field of technology. With the implementation of this website, our new software for E911 dispatching, record management, and jail management system we will be better able to serve you. More information will be readily available to the citizens we serve through these advancements.

We are proud to continue serving as the oldest agency to have received accreditation through the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation process. Working with our partners locally, as well as those from the state, we continue to certify deputies in the Crisis Intervention Team training so that those suffering from mental health crisis might be cared for instead of being incarcerated.

We are very blessed to have a community that takes pride in working so closely with our agency to prevent crimes or assist us when someone is a victim. Being the eyes and ears for us is reassuring that WE are family!

Again, we look forward to 2018 being a wonderful opportunity for US to make our community safer, cleaner, and more prosperous.
